2026 On Brand Survey: What’s Next

Survey says…

Thanks to all of you who took this year’s brand survey. Your feedback directly contributes to our overall brand road map and helps us determine how to best serve the needs of the broader campus. For those survey-curious, here is some of what we heard and what we’re planning as a result of your input.

Brand website

Our team has made enhancements to help you stay up to date and find inspiration.

What’s new with the brand

What you told us: It’s difficult to know when new resources are added or existing guidance changes.

What we’re doing: We launched Brand News, a new section highlighting the latest brand updates, resources, and improvements. While we’re continually making improvements and content updates throughout the year, we generally roll out major updates to coincide with our brand newsletter schedule.

UW Theme inspiration

What you told us: Finding examples of UW websites to reference for inspiration or best practices can sometimes be challenging.

What we’re doing: We’ve compiled a collection of exemplary campus websites built with UW Theme 2.0, featured on the UW Theme 2.0 website. Our goal is to showcase great work from across campus while providing examples and inspiration for your own website.

Photo and video library

We understand the photo and video library is a well-used and much-loved resource for our campus communicators. While we look ahead to a campus solution that will allow us to more easily share visual assets, we are going to focus on the following areas that stood out in the survey. We’ve also made a great effort to bring more video and evergreen brand photos to the library.

  • Authentic campus and academic life imagery
  • Health sciences and medical content
  • Seasonal, atmospheric, and scenic campus photography
  • Diverse and evergreen content
  • Employee/workplace representation
